Passive Hardware, Active Protection

Unlike traditional GPS trackers, VertexTap utilizes Passive NFC (Near Field Communication) Technology. This architectural choice is intentional: because the keychain has no internal battery or active signal transmission, it cannot be remotely hacked, tracked by unauthorized third parties, or run out of power when it is needed most. It remains dormant until a physical "Tap" occurs, ensuring your child’s location is never broadcasted to the cloud without reason.

End-to-End Encryption & Data Sovereignty

Every piece of information stored within the VertexTap ecosystem is shielded by industry-standard encryption protocols. We believe in Data Sovereignty: you own your data. When you input medical alerts or contact details, they are encrypted at rest on our secure servers, accessible only via the unique digital handshake created during a physical scan or through your authenticated parent dashboard.

Authenticated Access Control

The "Tap" function is designed for read-only access to the public emergency profile. However, the management of that data is strictly protected. Our Zero-Trust Editing Policy ensures that even if someone scans the keychain, they cannot alter the information. Only the verified account holder, using their unique secure password, can modify the safety profile.
